Nothing, a London-based consumer technology brand, has announced that it will manufacture its upcoming smartphone, Nothing Phone (2a), in India. The company, founded by former OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, said that it wants to leverage the rich manufacturing ecosystem of the country and create job opportunities for the local economy. The Phone (2a) will be launched in India on March 5, 2024, along with other markets. The company has not revealed the price or the availability details of the device yet, but it is likely to compete with other mid-range smartphones in the Indian market. Nothing has also hinted that it is working on other consumer technology products, such as earphones, smartwatches, and laptops, that will follow its transparent design language.
